About the role
- Provide L2 application support for Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Java, Servlets, JDBC, PL/SQL, and Unix environments.
- Perform log analysis, basic debugging, and issue triaging.
- Support deployment activities under senior team guidance.
- Monitor applications and batch processes, escalating issues as required.
- Collaborate with the onsite/offshore teams to ensure timely issue resolution within SLAs.
- Maintain and update documentation, issue logs, and runbooks.
- Participate in shift-based and on-call support rotations [ 24/7]
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in the same or a comparable role
- Proficiency in Java, Maven, PostgreSQL, Monitoring, Jira/Salesforce, Troubleshooting and AWS Exposure.
- Good knowledge of Java and ability to debug application issues.
- Understanding of Servlets, JSP, and JDBC for issue resolution.
- Experience with Oracle 19c – SQL/PL-SQL scripting and query tuning basics.
- Familiarity with IBM Liberty and Tomcat for app deployment and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux (RHEL) – log analysis, cron jobs, shell commands.
- Exposure to Shell Scripting (C-shell/Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ executables and their role in batch processing.
- Awareness of frontend debugging concepts (HTML, JavaScript).
