About the role

  • Overall responsibility for SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions, rollouts and transformation projects
  • Management of project scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks using Planview
  • Building and leading complex project organizations (internal, external, international)
  • Application of traditional, hybrid and agile project management methods (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum)
  • Escalation management and decision-making at management and steering committee level
  • Coordination of SAP modules, non‑SAP systems, interfaces, data migration and middleware
  • Collaboration with enterprise and solution architects
  • Consideration of IT security, data protection (e.g., GDPR), compliance and governance
  • Facilitation of workshops, decision sessions and management presentations
  • Management of change management and communication activities
  • Ensuring user acceptance and sustainable use of solutions
  • Selection, management and evaluation of external SAP consulting partners
  • Ensuring quality standards, best practices and lessons learned

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
  • Several years of experience (>8–10 years) in IT project management, ideally in the SAP environment
  • Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA (Greenfield, Brownfield, Landscape Transformation) and multiple successfully led SAP S/4HANA projects in a senior role
  • Knowledge of: system architectures & IT landscapes; interfaces; data migration & master data management; cloud and hybrid architectures
  • Basic understanding of: IT security, Identity & Access Management and DevOps and release management processes
  • Experience with: project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, SAP Cloud ALM, Planview), reporting & KPI management, and agile scaling frameworks
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a troubleshooter mentality and hands‑on approach
  • High assertiveness combined with a diplomatic manner
  • Strategic and business-minded thinking
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
