About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the product lifecycle for AI features across the GuardPass ecosystem, from discovery and specification through prototyping, shipping, measurement, and iteration
Build working React/TypeScript front-end and Python/Node back-end prototypes using LLM APIs
Design and implement conversational interfaces, RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and tool-use/MCP integrations
Develop evaluation frameworks and use AI evaluations to drive feature iteration
Write and refine production prompts as versioned, tested engineering artifacts
Collaborate with lead engineers and product managers across UK and Karachi teams to turn prototypes into production-grade services
Instrument features using funnels, latency, cost-per-conversation, and containment/resolution rates
Evaluate model landscapes and make build-versus-buy and model-selection decisions
Work directly with the Head of Product and founders on conversational booking, LLM-powered support and operations tooling, and agentic back-office workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years combined experience across product management and software engineering
Shipped at least one LLM-powered feature or product to real users
Hands-on coding ability in Python and/or TypeScript
Experience working with REST APIs and independently shipping full-stack prototypes
Practical experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI
Experience with structured outputs, tool use/function calling, and context management
Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize based on commercial value
Clear written communication for specs, briefs, and decision documents
Experience with agentic frameworks or patterns such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, MCP, or equivalent preferred
Experience building and running LLM evaluations using promptfoo, custom harnesses, or similar preferred
Familiarity with Supabase, Railway, Cloudflare Workers, or AWS preferred
Experience in marketplaces, booking flows, or regulated industries preferred
Exposure to conversational UX design preferred
Prior startup or founder experience nice to have
Data analysis skills including SQL and basic statistics nice to have
Design sensibility for creating credible prototypes nice to have
Willingness to use AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
Ability to work in a distributed Karachi and UK environment with overlap hours for UK collaboration
