About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure through failure analysis and execution of work plans.
- The optimal operation of the dies in order to guarantee the productivity of hot stamping parts as well as their quality, through the reduction of frequent failures and continuous improvement.
- Die and press parameter control training to maintain OEE
- Ensure compliance with die repair work plans to deliver them on commitment dates.
- Manage die element plans at the visualization and dimensioning level under AutoCAD and CATIA programs. That allow the group leader to be given direction on the tasks performed in the workshop.
- Interpret manufacturing plans for die components and stamped parts. Management of GD&T tolerances and TZ that allows you to provide information to the workshop on part specifications.
- Analyze and isolate failures inherent to the laser stamping and cutting process, in order to determine effective corrective action arising from quality complaints.
- Monitor the amount of scrap during each die run, keeping a daily record, in order to perform an analysis to detect the root cause and carry out the relevant corrective actions.
- Responsible and manager of the control of quantities of standard spare parts of the dies, responsible for designing and updating the drawings of special parts in order to guarantee the availability of spare parts.
- Manage the major die maintenance system in order to provide evidence and compliance with the quality SYSTEM in its external and internal audits.
- Be a promoter of good safety practices and Responsible for developing the work of the personnel in charge through the basic values of the leader's decalogue.
- Permanently participate in group meetings: Start of shift, Natural group, monthly department and employee meetings.
- Attend and comply with training courses scheduled by the area and the plant.
- Carry out and facilitate start-up checks (Check List) of equipment, presses, and tools.
- Participate and follow up on audits of critical processes of Safety (5s), Quality (LPA) and Environment (ISO14000)
- Documentation of press, die and process parameters before, during and after the production of each tool.
- Maintain and improve OEE of tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Industrial Engineer in manufacturing, mechanics or similar.
- Experience in automotive industry preferably
