About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead APQP activities and PPAP approvals.
- Support new product launches, prototypes, and engineering changes.
- Participate in customer meetings and present quality results and action plans.
- Develop and maintain quality documents, including Process Flows, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
- Manage checking fixture development and tooling validation.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality concerns.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve process capability and product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why)
- Experience supporting product launches and engineering changes.
- Experience with stamping, welding, assembly, or automotive component manufacturing (preferred)
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality systems (preferred)
- Customer-facing quality experience (preferred)
- Core Tools certification or training (preferred)
