Assistant Manager – Logistics

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute daily operations of the Materials Department
- Monitor production entry, receipts, scrap entry, and inventory levels
- Coordinate flow of materials with other departments
- Analyze cycle count adjustments and recommend improvements
- Expedite incoming materials as required
- Review weekly release data including Demand Management, MRP – SAP, and Eclipse
- Monitor suppliers and carriers for timely deliveries
- Communicate shipment requirements to shipping personnel
- Ensure timely completion of shipping documents
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Operations Management, Logistics, or similar curriculum - or - 3+ years in scheduling/inventory control role
- Experience supervising employees
- Familiar with MRP and scheduling concepts, preferably SAP
- Exceptional computer skills, particularly with Excel and Production and Inventory Control Systems
