About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain software, systems, and firmware for products
- Apply appropriate technology while always seeking the best cost-effectiveness
- Develop software according to specifications. Test legacy applications to evaluate functionality and ensure compliance with Gertec quality standards
- Collaborate on product specifications to meet customer requirements
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and project constraints
- Provide support to internal and external customers to understand and meet their needs
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS (Infrastructure as Code)
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes
- Drive continuous improvement of DevOps and SRE practices
- Implement observability strategies (logs, metrics, and tracing)
- Work closely with development teams to optimize applications
- Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, policies, compliance)
- Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Support technical decisions and promote best practices within the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience with source code versioning (Git)
- Knowledge of Linux systems
- Knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, security, DNS)
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) (preferred)
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) (preferred)
- Knowledge of SRE practices (preferred)
- Experience with security tools (DevSecOps) (preferred)
- Experience with high-scale environments (preferred)
- Knowledge of cost and optimization (FinOps) (preferred)
