About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain software, systems, and firmware for products
  • Apply appropriate technology while always seeking the best cost-effectiveness
  • Develop software according to specifications. Test legacy applications to evaluate functionality and ensure compliance with Gertec quality standards
  • Collaborate on product specifications to meet customer requirements
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and project constraints
  • Provide support to internal and external customers to understand and meet their needs
  • Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of DevOps and SRE practices
  • Implement observability strategies (logs, metrics, and tracing)
  • Work closely with development teams to optimize applications
  • Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, policies, compliance)
  • Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Support technical decisions and promote best practices within the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Experience with source code versioning (Git)
  • Knowledge of Linux systems
  • Knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, security, DNS)
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) (preferred)
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of SRE practices (preferred)
  • Experience with security tools (DevSecOps) (preferred)
  • Experience with high-scale environments (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cost and optimization (FinOps) (preferred)
