About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage and develop the general ledger accounting for DACH entities within an international corporate environment
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
  • Responsible for month-end close and ensuring high-quality, timely reporting across multiple entities
  • Prepare VAT returns and coordinate statutory reporting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute and manage intercompany reconciliations and contribute to group consolidation
  • Accountable for complex journal entries, including accruals and provisions
  • Act as a central interface to FP&A, Tax and Group Accounting and support continuous optimization of accounting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed training as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or a degree in business administration with a focus on finance/accounting
  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting within an international corporate environment, ideally in software companies or in IT- or software-driven project businesses
  • Solid knowledge of HGB and US GAAP
  • Proven experience in general ledger accounting and in financial closing processes (monthly, quarterly and annual close)
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidation is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of VAT and statutory reporting
  • Confident use of ERP systems and standard office applications
  • Structured, independent and precise working style
  • Strong hands-on mentality and high sense of responsibility
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Group Accounting)
  • Business-fluent German (negotiation-level) and good English skills, both spoken and written
