About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while managing parts ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching, and returning for each repair order
  • Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Communicate customer requests and needs to appropriate team members
  • Work with vendors to order and receive parts listed on repair orders
  • Verify the quality, correctness, and quantity of received parts
  • Distribute parts to the shop according to the production schedule
  • Enter parts invoices into the recommended Management Information System (MIS)
  • Label and track parts by repair order number and store them with the vehicle and/or scheduled repairs
  • Communicate Parts Price Changes to required team members
  • Order and receive supplemental parts in the MIS
  • Monitor parts, materials, and sublet vendor performance
  • Reconcile the parts vendor invoice history report daily
  • Post and file/scan invoices and credit memos promptly
  • Verify vendor invoices contain the correct negotiated discount to maintain profit margins
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3+ years of experience working with automotive parts; auto body parts experience is a bonus
  • Customer-service orientation and strong organizational ability to manage pressure, conflicting demands, and task prioritization
  • I-Car Registered, working towards Gold Class certification
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure
  • Working knowledge of vehicle repair practices
  • Working knowledge of Summit and Repair Centre management information systems
  • Working knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex
  • Experience with Car-part, Progi, APU, and LKQ B2B parts sourcing
  • Solid problem-solving abilities
  • Above-average computer proficiency and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others and achieve common goals
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach, and handle tools
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. of materials
