About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide an exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
- Plan necessary repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers
- Use various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicles
- Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage and apply filler resins when needed
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage
- Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts
- Inspect vehicles post-repair to ensure all work executed correctly
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
