About the role
- Write comprehensive, structured test plans: functional coverage, edge cases, stress
- Execute validation campaigns across mechanical, electronic, and firmware layers
- Own Pass/Fail decisions autonomously: documented, justified, and defended
- Produce clear, actionable test reports highlighting risks and potential failures
- Challenge hardware design choices based on validation evidence — not just validate, but analyze
- Work closely with development and industrialization teams to secure production readiness
- Contribute directly to achieving a defect rate ≤ 3% across the installed base
- Ensure zero critical issues are discovered during production and testing phases
Requirements
- Engineering background in Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Strong full‑stack hardware expertise (electronics, mechanics, firmware)
- Practical experience troubleshooting real-world hardware issues, not just theoretical design
- Proven ability to write test plans with clear structure, coverage, and acceptance criteria
- Autonomous in Pass/Fail decision-making: you own your conclusions and can defend them
- Knowledge of CE/RED and IP/IK standards
- Exposure to industrialization and production environments
- Highly rigorous: documentation and validation are second nature
- Passionate about testing, validation, and building robust systems
