About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and support multiple entrepreneurship-related student clubs at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Create and implement entrepreneurship programs focused on special interests, including Entrepreneurship and Health, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability, and Venture Capital
- Develop startup internship programs
- Support living-learning communities and speaker events
- Maintain a database of student engagement
- Provide management support for Georgetown Entrepreneurship’s day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Provide regular budget updates and financial information to the team
- Supervise and manage student associates throughout the year
- Build out and execute experiential learning opportunities
- Interact with students, student groups, staff, faculty, alumni startups, employers, donors, and external audiences
- Represent the McDonough School and Entrepreneurship Initiative accurately and persuasively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 2–3 years of events management experience
- Budget management experience
- Student programming experience
- Project management and leadership skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software applications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage others; student intern management experience preferred
- Critical and strategic thinking skills with an analytic approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person, by phone, and email
- Ability to work independently and with Georgetown Entrepreneurship colleagues
- Ability to envision, plan, execute, and evaluate events
- Strong multitasking ability
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce, AirTable, or another CRM solution system
