About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides operational leadership for clinical education and placement activities across clinical programs.
Oversees Clinical Placement Specialists and manages day-to-day clinical placement operations.
Cultivates clinical site partnerships to ensure timely, compliant, and student-centered learning experiences.
Implements workflows, performance standards, and accountability measures.
Collaborates with academic leadership, faculty, and clinical partners to align placements with program requirements.
Ensures high-quality clinical learning experiences that support student success, program effectiveness, and sustainable growth.
Reports to the Director of Clinical Education and Partnerships and directly supervises a team of approximately 6–8 Clinical Placement Coordinators.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Education, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
5–7 years of experience in higher education, healthcare, or related clinical/academic operations.
Experience in clinical placement coordination or academic-practice partnerships strongly preferred.
Understanding of pre-licensure and graduate nursing clinical education requirements.
Experience building and managing partnerships with clinical sites or healthcare organizations.
Proven ability to supervise staff and manage operational workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using data, technology systems, and tools to support operational decision-making.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration, manage conflict, and build effective working relationships.
