About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Engagement Manager is the lead trusted advisor for university departments
  • Develops strong partnerships between UIS and executive stakeholders
  • Deliver value in all aspects of project and operational work
  • Provides IT guidance, recommendations for improvement, and direction
  • Works collaboratively with designated departments or university divisions
  • Assists in the development of an IT roadmap aligned with departmental goals
  • Works in partnership to identify and secure resources for technology needs
  • Responsible for requirements gathering and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Communicates UIS policies, procedures and updates on central services
  • Represents and advocates for the IT organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years working in an information technology management organization
  • Continuing education in technology discipline
  • Strong depth in project and program management
  • Experience with facilitating steering committees and executive level meetings
  • Experience being responsible for leading Certification in business process mapping
  • requirements gathering and project management
  • Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing with proper grammar and spelling
  • Knowledge of general IT security standards in a business and/or academic setting
  • 5 years working in IT customer service or Business Analyst role is preferred
  • Experience working in a management consulting environment is preferred
