About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support CICS operations and communications efforts on alternative response and law enforcement initiatives
  • Manage and execute all of CICS’s operational and administrative processes
  • Build and maintain CICS’s internal operational systems
  • Manage and track invoices and contracts between CICS and its vendors and suppliers
  • Manage team-wide financial transactions including requisitions, travel, and expense reimbursements
  • Manage CICS financial reconciliation processes
  • Manage logistics related to CICS events, including trainings, convenings, and symposia
  • Manage the ABLE Project’s Salesforce account
  • Support CICS internal and external communications efforts
  • Create and draft newsletters to the CICS and ABLE listservs
  • Maintain the CICS website
  • Manage the general CICS and ABLE team inboxes
  • Maintain the CICS and ABLE social media presences
  • Support CICS’s media outreach efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience)
  • demonstrated interest in criminal system reform, social work, psychology, or other related social justice fields
  • 2-4 years of experience in operations or communications
  • Extraordinary capacity for flexibility while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Exemplary collaborative capacity
  • Ability to work independently on projects in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal communications skills among a diverse set of key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software applications
  • Salesforce, basic graphic design, and/or social media experience is a plus
  • A strong commitment to CICS’s mission
  • Some travel may be required
