Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and submit high-quality responses proposing Geographic Solutions’ workforce and unemployment software systems to government agencies
Coordinate input from cross-functional teams
Draft proposals blending new content with boilerplate and past submissions
Review RFPs, RFIs, and other opportunities for response planning
Create outlines and shell documents for proposals
Facilitate and lead proposal meetings and reviews
Articulate win themes, solutions, and requirements throughout proposals
Apply editing and proofreading to develop organized drafts
Lead Color Team reviews and manage revisions
Ensure proposal quality and compliance with solicitation requirements
Prepare final submission files in Word and PDF formats
Organize and maintain proposal files in SharePoint
Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Participate in proposal debriefs and lessons-learned sessions
Maintain and update boilerplate content after submissions
Stay current on product offerings to reflect latest features

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working for a software development/information technology organization desired
Experience with state and local government proposals preferred
Effectively collaborate with others to establish good working relationships within the team
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
Meets demanding deadlines in a timely manner
Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition, such as time pressure or unexpected challenges
Demonstrate a strong work ethic through consistent attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and commitment
Bachelor’s degree in English, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of successful proposal experience, preferably in government or the software/technology sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
Understanding of proposal techniques (i.e. layout, graphics, strategy-to-win)
