About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support providers with the delivery of high-quality health care to ambulatory patients
  • Support the effective operations of a fast-paced practice
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
  • Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards
  • Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using proper policies, reference tools and provider instructions
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Apply knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
  • Support HR compliance processes, including assisting with completion and verification of I-9 forms for Geode employees
  • Assist with drug screening processes as needed, including specimen collection, shipment, and ordering necessary supplies
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, provider, and organizational information and uphold privacy standards
  • Complete other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
  • Cover offices in Allen, McKinney, Lake Highlands, Plano, Richardson, and Prosper

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health (preferred)
  • Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Knowledge of working at a clinical setting (preferred)
