Sales Manager – Field Sales
geo-FENNELSales Manager responsible for customer acquisition and relationship management in the construction sector. Joining geo-FENNEL, a leader in laser and measuring technology in Europe.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire and onboard new customers
- Independently identify suitable target customers within specialist dealers, or jointly with our trade partners in the construction sector
- Make initial contact and set appointments by phone, up to conducting in-person consultations on site
- Conduct needs analyses, present appropriate solutions, and convince new customers with clear arguments
- Prepare tailored proposals and lead negotiations through to successful closing
- Support existing customers and actively maintain customer relationships
- Strategically expand partnerships and identify additional potential opportunities
- Perform application and product demonstrations on construction sites
- Provide on-site and digital briefings and training, and answer technical questions
- Structure your sales week independently while keeping KPIs in focus
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in sales, ideally in new customer acquisition or technical field sales
- Enjoy hands-on work and possess technical understanding — ideally with initial exposure to building technology, trades, or surveying
- Valid driving license (Class B) and willingness to be on the road daily for field assignments
- Empathy, strong closing skills, and the ability to inspire trade partners and end users about products and solutions
- Self-motivation, ambition, and discipline — you work independently, are resilient, and are not put off by a “no”
- Strong communication skills and business-fluent German, both written and spoken
- Success orientation and motivation to exceed targets and celebrate achievements
