About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensuring the protection of sensitive enterprise data
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of data security controls across the organization
  • Assist in protecting data across cloud, endpoint, and on-premises environments
  • Support initiatives such as data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, encryption, and data governance
  • Partner with teams across IT, Security, Risk, and Compliance to help strengthen the organization’s data security posture
  • Develop foundational cybersecurity skills while gaining hands-on experience with enterprise data security tools, processes, and frameworks
  • Assist with execution and monitoring of data security controls aligned to regulatory requirements and internal frameworks
  • Support audit and assessment activities through documentation and evidence collection
  • Contribute to reporting and dashboards for data security metrics
  • Stay informed on emerging data security threats and trends (e.g., insider risk, data leakage)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Foundational understanding of: Information security principles (CIA triad, least privilege, defense-in-depth)
  • Data protection concepts (classification, encryption, DLP)
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise IT environments (cloud, endpoint, or networking concepts)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
