About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensuring the protection of sensitive enterprise data
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of data security controls across the organization
- Assist in protecting data across cloud, endpoint, and on-premises environments
- Support initiatives such as data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, encryption, and data governance
- Partner with teams across IT, Security, Risk, and Compliance to help strengthen the organization’s data security posture
- Develop foundational cybersecurity skills while gaining hands-on experience with enterprise data security tools, processes, and frameworks
- Assist with execution and monitoring of data security controls aligned to regulatory requirements and internal frameworks
- Support audit and assessment activities through documentation and evidence collection
- Contribute to reporting and dashboards for data security metrics
- Stay informed on emerging data security threats and trends (e.g., insider risk, data leakage)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science
- Foundational understanding of: Information security principles (CIA triad, least privilege, defense-in-depth)
- Data protection concepts (classification, encryption, DLP)
- Basic knowledge of enterprise IT environments (cloud, endpoint, or networking concepts)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
