About the role
- Interpret creative briefs to develop creative concepts that support our brand
- Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
- Partner with our motion graphic designer to develop and execute video ads and stories that engage our audience
- Research and understand our target audience through online searches, reviews of existing research, and meetings with subject matter experts
- Collaborate with our marketing and product teams from initial concept development to the delivery of the final product
- Revise copy based on feedback from content, product, and compliance teams
- Raise the bar continually for writing fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
- Be adept at varying the voice, style, and messaging based on the specific target audience
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aging care industry trends
- Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least six years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
- Experience developing video concepts and scripts and working with design or video editing teams to develop video ads and stories
- Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
