About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and strategically manage assigned accounts across the territory
- Build partnerships with biotech organizations and key decision-makers
- Deliver tailored solutions, drive sustainable revenue growth, prospect new accounts, and secure new business
- Research territory growth opportunities, customer needs, competitive landscape, and untapped segments
- Develop business plans and sales strategies
- Understand customers' short-term project needs and long-term research goals to position GenScript products and services
- Collaborate with technical, marketing, project management, and other supporting teams
- Schedule customer visits and sales calls in person and online
- Follow up on customer interactions and maintain detailed CRM notes and accurate pipeline information
- Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback with internal stakeholders
- Represent GenScript at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and networking events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science field
- At least 1 year of sales experience within the life sciences, biotechnology, or CRO sector
- Hands-on laboratory experience
- Ability to engage confidently in scientific discussions with customers
- Experience in prospecting, territory management, lead management, negotiation, and closing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, self-organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Fluent English communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required
- Master's or PhD in a Life Science is nice to have
- Fluency in Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish is nice to have
- Familiarity with Gene Synthesis, Proteins, Peptides, Antibodies, or Cell Line Development Services is nice to have
- Track record working effectively in a global, cross-functional, multicultural team is nice to have
