About the role
- Lead and develop a team of Oncology Account Managers in the Southeast region (FL, AL, GA, SC, NC and Puerto Rico)
- Develop and implement regional/national sales strategies and programs to meet/exceed sales goals
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and develop sales team members
- Focus team on delivering customer-specific, value-based selling across digital and in-person channels
- Establish relationships with key customers and opinion leaders and collaborate with alliance partners
- Evaluate business environment and practice models to build internal and external partnerships
- Analyze region/division business and build short- and long-term business plans
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory and legal standards, and financial/budgetary guidelines
- Communicate market intelligence to brand teams and management and participate in meetings regularly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 8 years sales experience in the pharma/biotech industry
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in leading in the Oncology therapeutic area
- Preference for Hematology experience
- Proven ability to recruit, hire, develop, and retain top sales talent
- Demonstration of superior coaching skills that drive improvements in sales behaviors and team development
- Proven success in launching Oncology product(s) with strong results
- Record of strategic thinking and disciplined execution
- Awareness and ability to navigate and adhere to Commercialization and Corporate governance processes
- Ability to collaborate and strong team player
- Excellent presentation, organization and communication skills
- Must be proficient in: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Veeva Engage
- Possess highest level of professional behavior and ethics; consistently demonstrate sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities
- Travel will be required by car and plane
