About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and/or support governance activities for alliances, including preparing agendas, ensuring deliverables, and facilitating decision-making at joint committees.
- Lead the definition, execution, and optimization of internal and external processes that support alliance management, with a focus on operational excellence, scalability, and consistency.
- Lead data management and reporting on an alliance portfolio level, including the design and implementation of alliance metrics reports for global leadership and board activities.
- Champion the adoption and integration of digital and AI-enabled tools where they add value—streamlining operations, enhancing reporting, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Actively contribute to the commercial success of Genmab’s alliances by understanding and supporting business objectives across the product lifecycle, from early development through commercialization.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between Genmab and partners, fostering transparency, alignment, and long-term collaboration.
- Monitor alliance health metrics, implement continuous improvement strategies, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (R&D, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Program Management) to ensure integrated support for partnered programs and to bring commercial insights into alliance management.
- Support the development and execution of joint alliance vision, goals, and guiding principles.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, manage milestone tracking, and oversee reporting and risk mitigation.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as vendor governance, and enterprise-level process improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 6 years of relevant alliance management, project management and/or commercialization experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; advanced degree (Master’s degree/PhD) preferred.
- Professional certification in alliance management, project management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Proven experience leading process optimization and/or digital transformation projects within a global organization.
- Strong understanding of drug development (early through late stage) and commercialization processes, with a demonstrated interest in the commercial side of the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact with, focus, negotiate, and resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management, with the ability to manage multiple alliances/projects/priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and partnership management systems; familiarity with digital tools, data analytics, and AI applications in business processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are beneficial.
