About the role
- Identify and recruit new partner accounts according to territory and vertical strategy
- Develop strong relationships to drive brand preference and secure project wins within 18 months of partnership
- Facilitate onboarding including establishing credit accounts and signing Channel Partner Agreements
- Deliver commercial training, manage partner learning paths, and recommend technical certifications
- Conduct business-performance planning, stakeholder mapping, forecasting, and quarterly business reviews
- Track partner performance metrics and develop action plans to optimize results
- Act as product Subject Matter Expert, provide in-depth product demonstrations, and support lifecycle adoption
- Manage partner pipeline activity, validate partner needs, and ensure sales activity is tracked in CRM
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineers, support, professional services, marketing, product marketing, and accounting
- Attend industry conferences and travel to partner sites; participate in speaking engagements
- Liaise with technology partners to align solutions and ensure integration compatibility
- Follow up on leads assigned to partners to drive new business opportunities
- Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively address risks to Genetec
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in channel sales or partner management, ideally within the software or technology industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Proven track record in partner management, sales growth, and delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in forecasting, business planning, and performance management
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into business value for partners
- Experience delivering commercial training and facilitating technical certification
- Experience with CRM and pipeline management
- Willingness to travel as needed for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Adaptability and proactive problem-solving
- Negotiation and influence skills
- Results-oriented with accountability for partner outcomes
