About the role
- Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate technical solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients in a clear and impactful manner
- Collaborate with the sales team to create customized proposals addressing customer requirements
- Serve as a technical resource for both the sales team and clients throughout the sales cycle
- Identify potential clients and develop strategies to penetrate target markets effectively
- Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback on market trends and customer needs
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
- Provide technical support and presales expertise to channel, customers for video surveillance and access control projects.
- Respond promptly to partner and customer inquiries and provide accurate status updates to stakeholders.
- Deliver technical trainings, workshops, and demonstrations for partners and customers.
- Lead the demo setup and align demo use cases with customer requirements and real-world scenarios.
- Prepare solution architecture documents and system diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- Document key partner and customer engagements.
- Maintain a high level of product and technology knowledge across Genetec solutions.
- Represent Genetec in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings with professionalism.
- Collaborate with internal teams — Sales Managers, Technical Leads, and Channel Manager — to align on project and partner strategies
- Collaborative mindset to coordinate with sales, channel, and technical teams while maintaining ownership of individual responsibilities.
- Continuously learn and develop expertise in Genetec products, along with cross-technology skills following a T-shaped learning approach.
- Maintain demonstration setups and ensure they are ready for customer engagements.
- Ensure adherence to internal compliance and reporting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in VMS, Access Control, or related IT infrastructure / security systems.
- Proven experience in a sales engineer or technical sales role, preferably within the technology sector
- Strong technical knowledge of our products and solutions, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply
- Working knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and address customer concerns promptly
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality deliverables
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership
- Familiarity with sales processes and experience in using CRM tools to manage accounts and sales opportunities
