About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end to end design, development, testing, and deployment of features within a high scale routing microservice
Drive improvements to system performance, scalability, and reliability across a globally distributed cloud platform
Resolve complex technical challenges by analyzing production issues and implementing durable, long term solutions
Influence architectural decisions by advocating for maintainability, observability, and automation across services
Review and elevate code quality across the team, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices and platform standards
Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver cohesive platform capabilities and align on technical direction
Strengthen platform resilience by proactively identifying risks and improving system behavior under load
Participate in on call rotations to support service reliability and continuously improve incident response mechanisms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
6+ years of professional software development experience in Java or a similar language
Strong experience designing and building distributed systems or microservices architectures
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with scalable and maintainable solutions
Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
Experience working in collaborative, cross functional engineering environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
