• Conduct college-readiness workshops at schools, nonprofits, and social service agencies throughout the DMV region each year to provide parenting students with basic information on postsecondary opportunities.
• Execute creative strategies for recruiting specific groups of young parents, such as teen fathers.
• Host virtual and in-person events relevant to recruitment, including finding speakers, coordinating promotion, and providing general event planning.
• Oversee the application process for Scholar applicants, which includes updating the Scholar application annually, ensuring all incoming applications are complete, uploading all relevant documentation, and leading the interview process.
• Create and manage a Scholar recruitment database that documents teen parents reached through all outreach efforts and progress toward goals.
• Reach all Scholar recruitment targets established by Generation Hope leadership.
• Develop, lead, and implement strategy around recruiting one-on-one mentors for Generation Hope’s DC-area programming.
• Ensure that Generation Hope is able to recruit a diverse group of mentors that reflects the diversity of the Scholar community.
• Work with the communications team to amplify Scholar and Sponsor recruitment messaging by providing content, priorities, etc.

Recruitment Coordinator

Manager

• Increase the capacity of and improve the performance of higher ed leaders and administrators, institutions, and systems that ultimately work to enhance the higher ed sector.
• Help institutions develop strong technical and adaptive leadership skills to improve the lives of student parents.
• Indirectly support and advocate for the postsecondary success of millions of student parents across the country.
• In collaboration with the Director of Learning & Innovation and other Senior Higher Ed Impact Managers, create and utilize equitable curriculum design and facilitation principles to support the execution of the technical assistance program to achieve intended outcomes.
• Co-design and facilitate highly engaging and thought-provoking virtual and in-person information sessions, orientations, workshops and trainings, as needed, to accomplish our technical assistance goals.
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials including presentations, handouts, reports, visuals, etc. for each learning session and/or event.
• Deliver targeted technical assistance/coaching to a portfolio of two to four higher-ed institutions at a time and possible short-term consulting to other clients.
• Help to ensure coherence and meaning across the curriculum.
• Revise existing curricula, needs assessments, and evaluation activities, and work collaboratively with all staff and partners to maintain and enhance quality and profile of technical assistance products.
• Assist with gathering, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data in order to support cohort members and clients in making progress on their work plans.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of coaching sessions and technical assistance work.
• Ensure all reporting requirements are met.
• Support coordination of logistical details for virtual, hybrid, and/or in-person coaching sessions and trainings.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional communities of practice.
• Serve as one of the “faces” of Generation Hope, facilitating learning experiences during sessions that give leaders context to their learning, increase coherency of the overall program, and reinforce critical messages.
• Establish relationships with prospective clients, funders, and potential partners.
• Develop new business relationships to secure technical assistance clients by participating in networking opportunities, participating in business development calls and meetings, etc.
• Deliver excellent customer service to current and prospective clients and continuously look for opportunities to improve our service delivery.
• Conduct pre and post-evaluations and needs assessment for each partner (i.e., work plan) and ongoing support for their implementation plans.
• Provide the communications team with information to support the creation of technical assistance impact stories and other program information as requested.
• Support the FamilyU Cohort & FamilyU Seal recruitment and selection processes, including marketing the programs, facilitating info sessions and office hours, reviewing applications, etc.
• Assist in the recruitment, selection, and ongoing support and supervision of student parents in Generation Hope’s FamilyU Student Parent Fellowship.

Senior Higher Ed Impact Manager – National Office

Human Resources

• The Human Resources Manager supports all HR functions at Generation Hope, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, benefits, race equity work, and administrative support.
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct regular HR file audits, maintain records, and implement efficient document management systems.
• Stay current on changing federal, state, and local employment-related policies and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Support with employee benefits, including plan selection, implementation, and compliance with regulations like ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA.
• Lead the talent acquisition process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR files are up to date and accessible.
• Facilitate the annual and mid-term employee appraisal processes and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with managers and staff to address unique needs and compliance requirements.

Human Resources Manager

Operations

• Conduct outreach and maintain communication with potential exhibitors and partners for the HOPE 2026 National Conference in Dallas, TX.
• Support the HOPE 2026 Conference team by assisting with tracking exhibitor commitments and recruitment.
• Support the HR and Operations teams in developing templates, onboarding guides, and internal training materials.
• Assist with daily office administrative tasks, including scanning and file storage.
• Co-facilitate internal trainings to ensure employees are familiar with intranet tools.

Customer Success Manager

• Work with the Director of DC Programming to manage the Generation Hope Scholar Program

• Support the program team in troubleshooting issues within Scholar/Sponsor relationships

Vice President

• Co-create and lead the implementation of Generation Hope’s national impact strategy in partnership with the CEO and COO, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and cohesion between our policy, technical assistance, and research work.
• Manage National Impact department budgets and serve on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), contributing to enterprise-level planning, performance management, and decision-making.
• Lead all policy efforts, including the development, execution, and evaluation of Generation Hope’s annual federal and state policy priorities.
• Supervise the collection, analysis, and translation of data into compelling reports, dashboards, and insights that inform strategic decision-making and support grant proposals, funder reporting, and organizational learning.
• Collaborate with the Development team to secure $1 M+ annually in funding aligned with national impact efforts.

Vice President – National Impact

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure financial stewardship.
• Translates organizational strategy into sound financial planning.
• Leads annual budgeting and multi-year forecasting.
• Oversees the full range of financial management functions, including monthly close and reconciliations.
• Ensures clarity, compliance, and accountability in all financial processes.

Director of Finance – National Office

• Manage every aspect of the CEO's calendar and ensure all information is up-to-date and represented accurately, including setting all appointments, working with the CEO to prioritize meetings, anticipating CEO’s scheduling needs, etc.
• Prepare the CEO for all internal and external meetings and events by providing a daily itinerary, compiling materials for weekly check-ins, developing and proposing agenda items, researching and gathering critical information for meetings, as needed, and confirming meeting details.
• Ensure timely and accurate follow up for the CEO after meetings, including updating the CRM, informing other staff of key outcomes and next steps, and providing post-meeting information and materials to external guests.
• Develop and maintain systems and processes to help maximize the CEO's time and create more efficiency across the organization, such as utilizing Monday.com boards.
• Save time for the CEO by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; and initiating communications on the CEO’s behalf.
• Assist CEO with collecting and submitting receipts and expense reports in a timely manner for accurate financial tracking.
• In partnership with the Chief of Staff (COS), schedule all board meetings and retreats and support their execution by taking meeting notes, preparing board meeting materials, and preparing board packet items.

• Manage all speaking engagements for the CEO, including working with speaker agencies, vetting opportunities, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, preparing the CEO for speaking engagements, and managing all logistics and technology needs.

Senior Executive Manager, Office of the CEO

Director

• Creating and implementing a multi-year development plan for our DC regional programming and systems-change work that tracks and monitors progress toward short- and long-term fundraising goals.
• Maintaining oversight, tracking progress, and developing strategies across all DC region-based fundraising activities, including major giving, individual giving, foundation relations, grants, corporate partnerships, and local and state government funding.
• Establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with current and prospective funders and donors through various means (personal meetings, thank you calls, “insider” emails, virtual coffee chats, etc.).
• Working with the Director of DC Programming to keep donors and funders updated on progress, needs, and/or upcoming events.
• Partnering with the nationwide Generation Hope Development team to execute a strategy that supports a growing major gifts program, including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors.
• In collaboration with the Events Manager, refining and executing a strategy that drives fundraising and community building through virtual experiences, major fundraising events, and intimate cultivation events.
• Refining and executing a strategy that sustains and grows a strong portfolio of foundation support for our direct and indirect services in the Washington, DC region through researching grant opportunities, writing proposals, and drafting reports per funder requirements.
• Actively participating as a senior leader on the growing DC team to ensure the success of Generation Hope’s fundraising efforts.

Director of Development

Consultant

• Maintain accurate entry, reconciliation, and coding of all donations, pledges, and recurring gifts in Little Green Light (LGL).
• Conduct weekly reconciliation between online donation platforms, credit card systems, and accounting records.
• Implement data-quality controls, including weekly checks and quarterly data cleanups.
• Identify and correct data anomalies such as duplicates, missing fields, and incorrect coding.
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for database use and train staff as needed.
• Prepare and send personalized acknowledgements for all gifts promptly (ideally within 72 hours).
• Create segmented thank-you templates for donor categories (first-time, recurring, major, and board-directed).
• Develop systems to ensure every donor receives appropriate acknowledgment and stewardship.
• Generate and distribute annual giving summaries by January 31 for tax purposes.
• Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports analyzing donation trends, retention, and campaign results.
• Conduct systematic research on prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors and provide reports to the Advancement team.

Development Coordinator

• Provide overall strategic direction for Generation Hope’s technical assistance program, FamilyU, designed to support higher ed organizations, including two and four-year colleges universities across the country
• Oversee all project management related to FamilyU, ensuring that technical assistance projects, outreach, cultivation, and support are being completed on time and efficiently
• With the Learning & Innovation team, identify the development needs of clients and create appropriate training programs while managing compliance with contracts to ensure that requirements are met
• With the support of the Strategic Partnership Manager, initiate new business relationships and pursue new opportunities to secure technical assistance clients by participating in networking opportunities, business development calls and meetings, etc.
• Ensure all FamilyU training materials meet intended outcomes and reflect Generation Hope’s commitment to excellence including trainer guides, training video or audio, participant materials, and evaluation tools and systems, etc.
• Provide budgetary oversight to the Learning & Innovation Department to ensure fiscal fidelity
• Serve as lead trainer/co-trainer for virtual and in-person trainings and convenings
• Regularly represent the organization at events including panels, forums, and conferences
