Requirements

What you’ll need

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Business/Management
Must be graduating between August 2027 and June 2029
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
Must be willing to work in a plant environment
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities, or service organizations
Experience with commodities such as metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, or electronics
Exposure to logistics, packaging, or manufacturing
Knowledge of procurement software and databases
Knowledge of materials management
Experience interpreting market data
Exposure to reading blueprints and understanding basic engineering documents
Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
Ability to read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections
Ability to detect and respond promptly to safety instructions, alarms, and signals
Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes
Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled
Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds and periodically up to 40 pounds
Ability to occasionally sit, climb ladders and lifts, and drive vehicles and equipment
Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, or J-1 support
