About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the ongoing vision and oversee execution of end-to-end Customer Experience and Dealer Experience for each GM brand’s Digital Retail Platform
- Lead the DRP team, technology partner, and cross-functional organizations in planning, execution, communication, and training
- Lead the future product roadmap and deliver continuous platform enhancements
- Maintain a platform mindset while planning, developing, and executing new features and enhancements
- Develop and optimize a frictionless, integrated consumer retail journey connecting customers with GM dealers
- Develop and optimize the dealer interface and enable integration with existing dealership processes
- Drive customer and dealer adoption and utilization to increase online retail sales and dealership utilization
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and Dealer Innovation & Strategy team members on scalable dealer and customer solutions
- Oversee platform operations, project management tracking, annual operating budget, and technology partner contractual obligations
- Guide, review, and approve working deliverables from the GM DRP team
- Present business updates and product demonstrations to GM leadership, GM brands, the Dealer Executive Board, and Dealer Councils
- Manage the technology partner relationship to improve productivity, product quality, and performance
- Lead and mentor a small team responsible for brand DRP launches and maintenance
- Set goals and expectations, provide feedback, and support high performance
- Foster an inclusive environment and develop team members through one-on-ones, career conversations, and targeted development opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, or a related area preferred
- 12+ years of total experience in automotive Digital, Go-to-Market, Marketing, or Sales/Retail required
- Digital marketing and eCommerce experience preferred
- Marketing and advertising experience preferred
- Experience launching and managing automotive retail programs preferred
- Experience with systems and integrations preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Retail marketing or advertising experience preferred
- Field or dealer contact experience preferred
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Expert digital and technical literacy
- Strong understanding of automotive consumer shopping behaviors, dealership processes, and dealership culture
- Ability to plan, execute, and communicate multidimensional projects
- Proven track record leading innovative business transformation projects
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and senior leaders
- Strong technical and creative problem-solving skills
- Highly analytical and data-driven; proficient in consuming market research and insights
- Proficient communicator able to manage vision and purpose
- Executive presentation skills, including creating and delivering effective business briefings
- Ability to develop high-performing and accountable teams across markets and functions
- Ability to lead, mobilize, and energize a team around common goals
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to work at the Warren, Michigan location at least 3 times per week, or at another frequency dictated by the manager
