About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage formal performance accountability cases end to end, including intake, documentation, tracking, milestone management, decisions, outcomes, and closure
  • Coach and guide managers and HRBPs through formal performance accountability processes
  • Draft, review, and quality-check Plans for Improvement, letters, case summaries, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate case records and system data for reporting, audit readiness, process consistency, and follow-up actions
  • Assess, prioritize, and route case intake, coordinating with Legal and regional subject-matter experts where local requirements or works council considerations apply
  • Communicate with managers, HR partners, and employees throughout the process
  • Support performance meetings, formal outcome communications, and post-outcome actions such as separation or exit processing
  • Identify and escalate legal, reputational, employee relations, and process risks
  • Contribute case insights, trends, and lessons learned to KPI and quality reviews, training, office hours, FAQs, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Partner with people managers, HRBPs, Legal, and the Employee Relations Team to deliver consistent, fair, timely, and compliant outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in HR or Employee Relations
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, Performance Management, or a related people function, including hands-on case management experience
  • Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and performance management frameworks
  • Experience using HRIS or case management tools, preferably Workday
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing clear, objective, and defensible performance documentation
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive employee matters
  • Ability to identify and assess potential risk in sensitive employment situations
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work effectively across managers, HRBPs, Legal, and regional stakeholders
  • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
