About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies to drive continuous improvement in system robustness
  • Calibrate and validate customer-facing body electronics features, including exterior and interior lighting, vehicle access, occupant protection, and cabin comfort
  • Perform body controls calibration and system testing
  • Gain hands-on experience with emerging body electronics and mechatronics technologies
  • Interact with and work on future automotive technology
  • Collaborate within a team leveraging embedded development expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Eligible to work full-time hours, 40 hours a week, for a term of 12–16 months (consecutive semesters) starting January 2027
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet the program’s eligibility requirements
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in Canada now or in the future
  • Proficiency in Embedded C and Python
  • Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Jira
  • Knowledge of embedded software development using C/Matlab/Simulink
  • Valid Ontario G Driver License
  • AutoDrive, EcoCAR, or other automotive-related experience/clubs
