Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies
Drive continuous improvement in system robustness
Calibrate and validate customer-facing body electronics features
Work in functional areas including exterior and interior lighting, vehicle access, occupant protection, and cabin comfort
Gain hands-on experience with future Body Electronics/Mechatronics technologies
Collaborate with embedded development experts and the Body Controls Calibration and System Testing Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Eligible to work full-time hours, 40 hours a week, for a term of 12–16 months starting January 2027
Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet the program’s eligibility requirements
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must not require sponsorship to work in Canada now or in the future
Proficiency in Embedded C and Python
High degree of ownership and initiative
Strong collaboration, teamwork, communication skills
Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Jira
Knowledge of embedded software development using C/Matlab/Simulink
Valid Ontario G Driver License
AutoDrive, EcoCAR, or other automotive-related experience/clubs
