About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies
- Drive continuous improvement in system robustness
- Calibrate and validate customer-facing body electronics features
- Work in functional areas including exterior and interior lighting, vehicle access, occupant protection, and cabin comfort
- Gain hands-on experience with future Body Electronics/Mechatronics technologies
- Collaborate with embedded development experts and the Body Controls Calibration and System Testing Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Eligible to work full-time hours, 40 hours a week, for a term of 12–16 months starting January 2027
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet the program’s eligibility requirements
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must not require sponsorship to work in Canada now or in the future
- Proficiency in Embedded C and Python
- High degree of ownership and initiative
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, communication skills
- Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Jira
- Knowledge of embedded software development using C/Matlab/Simulink
- Valid Ontario G Driver License
- AutoDrive, EcoCAR, or other automotive-related experience/clubs
