About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead hardware development of wired connectivity technology, including Serializers/Deserializers and Ethernet-based network solutions
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, ECU design, and semiconductor partner teams
  • Perform worst-case analysis, signal integrity analysis, and power integrity analysis for SerDes and Ethernet interfaces and related circuitry
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions across ECUs and connectivity hardware
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure manufacturable designs meeting performance, safety, and reliability targets
  • Develop hardware requirements and test specifications for SerDes/Ethernet connectivity and supporting circuitry
  • Develop test strategies spanning component and board-level validation, system integration, and production readiness
  • Lead bench testing throughout development, including bring-up, characterization, and prototype and production-intent hardware debugging
  • Establish semiconductor and ECU product-line domain expertise focused on SerDes, Ethernet PHYs, switches, and related components
  • Manage technology roadmaps with industry leaders and semiconductor partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science
  • 5+ total years of engineering experience at an OEM, semiconductor supplier, or Tier 1 ECU supplier
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in electronic hardware design and development
  • Working knowledge of automotive electronic hardware and automotive software architecture
  • Strong proficiency in circuit design, schematic creation, and PCB layout
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition and ORCAD
  • Experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters
  • Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion
