About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversight and implementation of Executive payroll related activities.
  • Oversight and management of vendor management related to Executives.
  • Execution of payroll Corp tax Initiatives and implementation of strategic direction.
  • Ensure GM Payroll is compliant with all federal, state, and local tax regulations related to Executive processing.
  • Maintain a cohesive work relationship between multiple third-party vendors.
  • Network and collaborate with colleagues, third parties, and other GM departments to achieve desired business results.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and lead change.
  • Extract, analyze verify and present data for management decision making.
  • Provide internal and/or external financial analysis and decision support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements and tax compliance regulations.
  • Lead and/or assist with special projects and global initiatives as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years with payroll experience
  • Prior Payroll Tax or Executive /global mobility experience
  • Ability to lead project teams and work independently
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Possesses a strong understanding of Corporate Executive personnel policies and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple projects at one time
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll systems and end to end payroll business processes
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Excel, KNIME) (Preferred)
