About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform structural analysis to lead and execute the development of new architectures and subsequent variants.
Drive the design and performance through appropriate analyses, deep dive efficient and integrated design solutions, provide clear design direction and confirm performance.
Support hardware elimination through leadership in the Global Focus Groups and drive method development.
Create and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and quasi static analysis plans for assigned projects.
Lead internal resources and CAE suppliers to meet program milestones and deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field of study
Five (5) years of experience as a CAE Engineer, Automotive Engineer, or related role.
Three (3) years of experience with the following: LS-Dyna and ABAQUS; Understanding of FMVSS requirements; and Developing and enhancing new virtual techniques to replace physical test-based methods.
Two (2) years of experience with the following: Hypermesh and Optistruct; Refining and improving automotive structure designs via FEA and Quasi static simulations; and Using optimization techniques to ensure cost and mass efficient structural solutions with high reliability.
