About the role
- Lead technical solutions across requirements definition, functional decomposition, calibration, and validation for body control systems
- Develop and validate calibration and test deliverables, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with program goals
- Troubleshoot and resolve software anomalies, driving continuous improvement in system robustness
- Perform complex design analysis, balancing requirements across features and functions
- Share best practices and support consistency across the global software community
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or component, mentoring and guiding peers
- Present data-driven insights, proposals, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead/Support Technical Reviews and participate in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, DSU etc.)
- Lead test automation development and execution for relevant body controls products
- Lead and execute certification relevant activities for body electronics software features
- Collect data using advanced test equipment and analyze, review results and document failures via PRTS, Jira etc.
- Author validation reports (CG190 etc.) and support issue root cause analysis and resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in calibration, testing, or validation of automotive systems (body controls experience a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in performing testing in multiple test environments (HIL, Vehicle, Virtual)
- Strong background in system requirements, design analysis, and test execution
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions to non-standard challenges
- Proven track record of working independently and mentoring less experienced engineers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Valid US Driver License

- Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical/computer/software engineering
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of experience in programming/scripting (Python etc.)
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of experience with Test automation framework (Autobot, etc.)
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Integration testing/System integration testing and/or Feature testing and/or Calibration
- Preferred: Experience with vehicle and bench validation at component or subsystem level
- Preferred: Experience with in-vehicle calibration tools (ETAS/INCA, Intrepid, etc.) for data acquisition and analysis
- Preferred: Experience with data logging tools (Vehicle Spy, CANALYZER Tools etc.)
- Preferred: Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) process and familiarity with Gherkin
- Preferred: Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Jira and other configuration management, version control and code quality tools
- Preferred: Experience debugging software/electrical/HW issues
- Preferred: Working knowledge of embedded software development using C/Matlab/Simulink and associated tools (Jira, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.)
