About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute global commodity and sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and supply continuity
  • Lead cross-site and cross-regional supplier performance for PCBA/SMT and related commodities, including business reviews, escalation management, and operational issue resolution
  • Own sourcing activities from strategy through contract negotiation, supplier selection, and execution of budget and business plan objectives
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance to align procurement and operational strategies with program needs
  • Use data, cost models, benchmarking, value chain analysis, and supplier negotiations to identify savings, reduce risk, and improve performance
  • Support new product introduction, launch readiness, and process changes by ensuring supplier readiness, manufacturability, and capacity alignment
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics, including yield, throughput, cycle time, and on-time delivery
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, mentoring, and organizational planning
  • Assess supplier and component capacity to match business demand while supporting applicable compliance requirements and regional considerations
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, traceability requirements, and applicable supplier and manufacturing expectations
  • Communicate risks, mitigation plans, and performance trends to leadership and key stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in global purchasing, procurement, supplier management or manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving results across cross-functional or multi-site environments
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and executing contracts or commercial agreements
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, capacity planning, quality systems, and performance metrics, ideally in PCBA/SMT or a similar technical environment
  • Ability to influence diverse stakeholders, lead through ambiguity, and adapt quickly in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally
