About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve.
  • Responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process.
  • Analyze and implement product and machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes.
  • Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area.
  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for assigned area.
  • Keep regular contact with partners outside the work group.
  • Evaluate and monitor expenditures for processes and equipment.
  • Interphase with Product Engineering to ensure new products adhere to the documented Manufacturing Requirements.
  • Develop or modify the documented Manufacturing Requirements to ensure a successful interphase with Product Engineering.
  • Interphase with Assembly Process Engineering to ensure integration of the Testing Systems with the rest of the manufacturing production line.
  • Create the Statement of Requirements document to source the Testing systems to different suppliers.
  • Technical evaluation of suppliers to award the Testing Systems projects to the correct supplier.
  • With the selected supplier, design and develop an appropriate testing system, supervise the machine building, ensuring that all the GM technical and safety requirements are met.
  • Coordinate the machine Runoff including machine validation and coordinate the machine installation at the final GM facility.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Quality Launch Lead, Quality Group Leader, Quality Customer Satisfaction Lead, or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the following: Performing data analysis using Bauer and QS-STAT; Test Machine Design using Teamcenter; Project Management; AutoCAD; Test Sequencing Development; and Root Cause Analysis.
