About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build partnerships and work closely with functional peers across engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to implement semiconductor strategic objectives.
  • Develop SORs (Statement of Requirements) and release semiconductors to facilitate on-time sourcing and integration with ECUs in accordance with Global Vehicle Development Process and program timing requirements.
  • Run a Product Development Team (PDT) consisting of all internal and external partners ensuring semiconductors are designed, produced and production ready.
  • Build strong semiconductor fabrication partner relationships ensuring clear understanding of manufacturing process, supply chain business arrangements.
  • Project manage ongoing process/product design changes related to semiconductors within scope of responsibility and present progress to leadership.
  • Work with system engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers to define and implement a full Ethernet system solution.
  • Establish domain expertise for semiconductors product line within scope of responsibility.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience as a DRE, OR at a semiconductor supplier, OR at Tier 1 ECU supplier.
  • 1+ year of engineering experience in electronic hardware design and development.
  • Working knowledge of automotive electronic hardware and automotive software architecture.
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability for working across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to learn quickly.
