Regulatory Engineer
General MotorsRegulatory Engineer advising GM personnel on compliance with Mexican environmental and vehicle safety regulations. Involves representation before authorities and legal advisory on proposed laws.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise GM personnel, technical staff, government relations/public policy staff, and management on global environmental, emissions, vehicle safety, autonomous vehicle, dangerous-goods transportation, and substances-of-concern laws and regulations
- Represent GM before federal and state authorities, agencies, administrative tribunals, and courts in regulatory matters and disputes
- Review proposed laws and regulations, and provide legal advice in support of efforts to influence rulemaking and lawmaking
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years of experience in Mexican regulations
- integrity, government relations and negotiations
- knowledge of vehicle components
- Advanced English proficiency
- Organized, generate new ideas within the team, person of integrity, initiative
