About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop gear systems for propulsion products including drive units, transmissions, and hybrid drive systems
Perform gearbox analysis for durability, efficiency, and NVH
Develop and enhance CAE capabilities for gearbox components and subsystems, including gears, shafts, park systems, and other
Support product development from early concept through validation and production execution
Communicate technical findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate media
Ensure timely delivery of design solutions that meet quality, cost, and program milestones
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for integrated design, problem-solving, and system optimization
Lead and participate in benchmarking activities for gearbox products and virtual engineering tools.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Led finite element analysis of structural components and systems
Experience performing structural, fatigue, durability, and stiffness analysis for propulsion or rotating components
Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, structural behavior, fatigue, and failure modes
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field)
Minimum 5 years of experience in gearbox design and analysis
Proficiency with gearbox CAE tools such as MASTA/Romax, Abaqus, and Trans3D
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
