About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the appointed Facility Security Officer for multiple cleared facilities
  • Oversee a comprehensive security program in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117
  • Provide enterprise-level subject matter oversight of security controls
  • Act as the primary liaison with DCSA and other security authorities
  • Oversee facility and personnel clearance programs
  • Own facility security performance metrics and reporting
  • Lead the end‑to‑end incident management process
  • Oversee personnel security processes
  • Own safeguarding requirements for classified information
  • Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of security documentation
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to program management and site leadership
  • Lead change management for classified facility security
  • Deliver strategic security education and training programs
  • Mentor and coach Assistant Facility Security Officers and program teams
  • Coordinate insider threat awareness activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience serving as a Facility Security Officer in a cleared defense or industrial environment
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience serving as an FSO or security staff member at a possessing cleared facility
  • Demonstrated history of achieving a “Superior” rating during a DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessment
  • In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and its application to enterprise‑scale cleared operations
  • Strong leadership skills and regulatory expertise
  • Proven ability to work in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Established professional credibility and relationships within the private sector, NCMS, and DCSA
  • Proven ability to manage and standardize security programs across multiple locations
  • Strong working knowledge of DCSA processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Ability to develop policies, procedures, and training materials that translate regulatory requirements into practical operational controls
