About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the application, validation, and launch of fastening and inspection solutions from MRL 4–7 across global GM facilities.
- Align Scope of Development Work (SODW) with MRL 4–7, manage the transition from development to plant implementation.
- Ensure solutions are technically robust, operationally ready, and integrated into plant processes, MPS, and program timing.
- Lead a cross-functional team of manufacturing, automation, and process engineers.
- Partner with product engineering, R&D, ARC, technical experts, plants, and suppliers to deliver consistent, high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong focus in manufacturing engineering in assembly or powertrain.
- Demonstrated experience in fastening or inspection systems (for example, torque tools, vision systems).
- Proven ability to motivate teams, set clear objectives, and deliver results through innovative thinking and disciplined execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Master’s degree or higher in a technical or managerial discipline.
