About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join the Engine & Transmission Controls group as a Functional System Architect (FSA)
  • Understand and define functional system requirements and architectures in relation to various components
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to the Sub-System Lead Engineers
  • Develop and drive requirements architectural vision and ART Solution context for your domain
  • Champion the roll-down from FTS, STS, Initiative, and Product Team to create requirements architecture
  • Ensure seamless integration of various systems into the vehicle
  • Act as the lead contact for the Engineering Pillar of the Product Team
  • Collaborate with Product Team members to define the ART functional architecture vision
  • Support development scrum teams in the ICEPROP ART
  • Capture customer-facing requirements
  • Reference System Safety Hazard Analysis and comprehend applicable regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Engine Controls Systems
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Engine Integration
  • Expert understanding of the physics related to Engine Combustion and/or fluid dynamics
  • High level of analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to prioritize work with only limited direction from manager
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal styles and communication
  • Experience with Requirements management tools (i.e. Doors, DNG, etc.)
  • Experience with Change management tools (i.e. Jira)
  • Background using simulation environments and Plant modeling for fault insertion analysis, testing, requirements generation (Matlab/Simulink, GMSIM, D-Space, ETAS, other)
