About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Occupant Positioning feature, system and solution testing (manual and automated) on virtual, bench and vehicle test environments.
Work cross-functionally with system safety, system engineering, design release, suppliers etc. to develop robust test methodologies for safety critical features.
Lead test automation development and execution
Collect data using advanced test equipment.
Analyze, review results and document failures via PRTS, Jira etc.
Author validation reports (CG190 etc.)
Participate in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, DSU etc.)
Deliver configuration and performance calibrations to support different vehicle platforms.
Support regulatory and compliance relevant initiatives for Occupant Positioning features.
Lead system test issue resolution initiatives
Lead best practices and process improvement initiatives.
Support program team reviews and demos.
Maintain communication with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 8 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in Engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer/software engineering, or Computer Science
Demonstrated strong background in programming/scripting/Embedded SW development (Python etc.)
Experience with Test automation framework (Autobot, Autoval etc.)
Valid US Driver License
Master’s degree/PhD in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, or Computer Science (Preferred)
Demonstrated team leadership experience (Preferred)
Experience with embedded SW development for memory seat module, lumber, message etc. features (Preferred)
Experience with vehicle and bench validation at component or subsystem level (Preferred)
Experience with data logging tools (Vehicle Spy, CANALYZER Tools etc.) (Preferred)
Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) process and familiarity with Gherkin. (Preferred)
Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Jira and other configuration management, version control and code quality tools. (Preferred)
Experience with virtual testing (CoSIM/GMSIM or other platform). (Preferred)
Working knowledge of embedded software development using C/Matlab/Simulink and associated tools (Jira, DOORS, Rhapsody, GIT etc.) (Preferred)
Quick to learn, ambitious, and willing to work hands-on with GM's vehicles and benches.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.
