About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and optimize fuel economy / range, drive quality, and vehicle performance to vehicle technical and customer requirements.
  • Complete analysis as required for program development, improvements in predictive capability, and hardware close loop learning with model correlation.
  • Support technical peer reviews for vehicle and subsystem requirements.
  • Proficient / familiar with global vehicle development process with project management skills.
  • Share lessons learned with peers, energy pit, and manager with application to future programs.
  • Takes advantage of all learning opportunities including competitive benchmarking.
  • Proactively communicates effectively with all stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent related work experience required.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and/or desire to learn current and advanced technologies (vehicle/propulsion) for fuel economy, electric range and drive quality.
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult.
  • Written and verbal presentation skills in order to present complex concepts to peers and program teams clearly with recommendation.
  • Ability to work independently to solve highly complex problems.
  • Matlab/Simulink experience required, VERDE model experience preferred.
  • Energy adjacent experience recommended and direct energy roles preferred.
