About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide on-shift quality engineering support for Orion Assembly production operations
- Serve as primary quality engineering contact for assigned areas, leading containment and problem identification
- Support various activities to reduce defects and rework
- Maintain continuous improvement of PFMEAs, Process Control Plans
- Act as quality liaison for VAA modules, ensuring compliance with quality requirements
- Document issues and drive resolution through processes
- Participate in audits and contribute to quality review meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in plant quality and/or supplier/module (VAA) quality
- General knowledge of print reading, GD&T interpretation, and part measurement
- Working knowledge of PFMEA, PCP, PPAP, SPC, BIQ/BIQS, and structured problem solving
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Comfortable working 2nd shift and providing hands-on support on the production floor
