About the role
- Responsible for building and leading the centralized knowledge, standards, and continuous improvement function for AMR and AFT deployments
- Partner with product teams and suppliers to improve field reliability and address real needs
- Compile data from deployments to enable data-driven decisions
- Create and maintain deployment processes including standards and training materials
- Serve as tiger team lead for hands-on support during critical deployments.
- Identify trends and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
Requirements
- Deeply technical with a focus on leading material automation initiatives across GM's manufacturing plants
- Highly organized and innovative approach to technology and deployment processes
- Experience in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Forklifts (AFT)
- Ability to gather best practices from engineering centers and unlock new capabilities
- Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and lessons learned implementation.
- Skills in utilizing AI and modern tooling for data-informed decision-making
- Ability to compile data and publish performance dashboards for project success
