About the role

  • Responsible for building and leading the centralized knowledge, standards, and continuous improvement function for AMR and AFT deployments
  • Partner with product teams and suppliers to improve field reliability and address real needs
  • Compile data from deployments to enable data-driven decisions
  • Create and maintain deployment processes including standards and training materials
  • Serve as tiger team lead for hands-on support during critical deployments.
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities through data analysis.

Requirements

  • Deeply technical with a focus on leading material automation initiatives across GM's manufacturing plants
  • Highly organized and innovative approach to technology and deployment processes
  • Experience in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Forklifts (AFT)
  • Ability to gather best practices from engineering centers and unlock new capabilities
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and lessons learned implementation.
  • Skills in utilizing AI and modern tooling for data-informed decision-making
  • Ability to compile data and publish performance dashboards for project success
