About the role

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to execute capture campaigns and proposal development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain capture plans, win strategies, and customer engagement plans.
  • Facilitate Gate Reviews, Black Hat Reviews, and Price-to-Win workshops.
  • Analyze solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and develop compliant, compelling response materials.
  • Manage proposal schedules, writing assignments, and production efforts.
  • Mentor junior staff and proposal coordinators, providing guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Represent GM Defense in customer engagements and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in capture management, proposal development, or government contracting.
  • Proven track record of leading winning proposals valued at $250M+.
  • Experience working with DoD and international customers.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, SharePoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
  • Eligible to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance after hire.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).
