About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for GM's next-generation EV vehicles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to interpret functional requirements and implement control and diagnostic strategies
- Create and integrate software in MATLAB Simulink models or hand-coded C
- Create or modify unit test cases and multicomponent test cases
- Explore and understand new thermal systems and requirements to support controls and software development
- Work under a hybrid policy with three days in-office and two days remote
- Travel 10% to domestic and international client sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, plus four years of relevant experience; OR master's degree in one of these fields plus two years of relevant experience
- Two years of experience with software coding including C-language, Simulink, Stateflow, GIT environment, plant modeling, and Python
- Embedded software and controls development experience
- Experience developing hand code in C language
- Experience compiling ECU-level software builds
- Development and testing experience on SIL and HIL
- Jira and Agile Framework experience
- Must be able to report to the local office
- Ability to travel 10% to domestic and international client sites
